day, I drove with Anke and Monika to Dessau, there I met Elmarie again,
This was very nice because we are good friends and I hadn't seen her
since last years outdoor season. She's staying in Cologne for the
next two months using it as a base from where she travels to the european
competitions. I shared my room with Monika and although I've seen
her very often I never really talked with her, I didn't even know
if she spoke english or not. Anyway, after a slow start we got off
really well. Because we are with the same manager we will probably
travel together more often so it 's very nice to have people around
you who aren't totally boring or completely awful. (not that I've
met a lot off those people in the pole-vault). In Dessau we did some
shopping (a very good way to pass the time) some training and I still
had some work to do on my computer. On wednesday the competition was
on, the weather had become a bit colder and again we had a drifting
wind. I felt a bit more comfortable in my runup but somehow didn't
make it any higher than 4.00m. I'm still not really confident in my
jumping and I have got too much thoughts running through my head which
makes me do different things all the time. Slowly however I'm finding
out which things are important and which aren't.
